BJP Leaders Detained Outside Telangana Secretariat over Fee Reimbursement

Police detained a large number of Telangana BJP activists, including the party's State unit president N Ramchander Rao and Member of Parliament DK Aruna, after they staged a protest in front of the Telangana Secretariat in Hyderabad on Thursday. The demonstration was organised to demand the immediate clearance of pending fee reimbursement dues.

The sudden arrival of the BJP leaders and party workers outside the high-security Secretariat caught security personnel off guard. The protesters began raising slogans near the complex, creating unexpected tension in the area.

Police personnel acted quickly to control the demonstration, taking the leaders and several party workers into preventive custody before dispersing the remaining activists from the site.

Speaking to media persons following the police action, Rao and Aruna questioned the reasons behind the prolonged delay in releasing the reimbursement funds. They criticised the administration, stating that the government's irresponsible attitude has left students in a state of confusion.

The leaders demanded that the State government take necessary steps without further delay to release the funds in the interest of the students' future.
