BJP Leader Nitin Nabin Vows to Form Government in Telangana by 2028

On Monday, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nitin Nabin addressed party workers at a 'Booth Pramukh sammelan' in Warangal, where he criticized the ruling Congress and former BRS governments for ruining the vision of Telangana. During the event, Nabin announced the BJP's resolve to revive the state's "lost dream" and form a "double-engine" government in Telangana by 2028.
Addressing the gathering, Nabin claimed that the aspirations of the people of Telangana had been lost in the quagmire of family-based parties. He stated that the BJP did not prioritize political gains or losses during the separate Telangana movement, noting that late party leader Sushma Swaraj had strongly raised her voice for the state's creation.
Nabin accused the current Congress government of being concerned only with its own family rather than the public. He alleged that the Congress has failed to deliver on its promise of providing two lakh jobs in Telangana, instead turning the state into an "ATM" for its national leadership in Delhi. He further criticized opposition leader Rahul Gandhi, labeling him a "part-time politician."
In his speech, Nabin also targeted the Congress for not giving former Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao the respect he deserved. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi with conferring India's highest civilian honour, the Bharat Ratna, on Narasimha Rao.
To prepare for the upcoming Warangal Corporation elections, Nabin instructed booth presidents and party workers to connect with every household, enroll new eligible voters, and spread awareness about central government welfare schemes.
BJP State President N. Ramchander Rao also spoke at the event, declaring that the massive turnout was a clear indicator of a BJP victory in the upcoming Warangal Corporation elections. Earlier, at a meeting with the tribal community, Ramchander Rao accused the former KCR government of delaying a promised 10 per cent reservation for tribals by linking it to a 12 per cent Muslim reservation Bill, which subsequently became stalled in court.
