BJP Demands White Paper on Prohibited Land Deals in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD — Bharatiya Janata Party legislature party leader A Maheshwar Reddy on Tuesday demanded that the Telangana government release a white paper on the list of prohibited land parcels, alleging massive irregularities across prime areas including Hitec City, Nanakramguda, Puppalaguda, Narsingi, and Kokapet.
Speaking to reporters at a news conference held at the BJP state office, Maheshwar Reddy announced plans to write an open letter to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi detailing alleged land deals and corruption involving Telangana ministers. He called for Rahul Gandhi's intervention in the matter.
Maheshwar Reddy also stated that the BJP would submit formal complaints to the Enforcement Directorate, the Central Bureau of Investigation, and the Lokayukta. He urged authorities to conduct a comprehensive probe or order a CBI inquiry into the alleged irregularities taking place under the Congress administration.
The BJP legislature party leader alleged that industrial lands in Nanakramguda, Puppalaguda, Narsingi, Kokapet, and Hitec City were converted for residential use. He claimed that properties valued at approximately Rs 15,000 crore had been transferred through these transactions.
Maheshwar Reddy pointed to minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy’s recent apology regarding the inclusion of land in the Section 22A prohibited list, describing it as an indication of the seriousness of the issue.
He further alleged a quid pro quo relationship between firms linked to Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and the real estate firm Phoenix, which he claimed had links to leaders of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi.
