BJP Demands Telangana Disclose MBC Corporation Funds and Beneficiary Details

HYDERABAD — Telangana BJP president N Ramchander Rao on Monday demanded that the state government release a detailed report disclosing the funds allocated to the Most Backward Classes (MBC) Corporation and the number of beneficiaries who have received assistance so far.

Addressing the first state executive meeting of the BJP OBC Morcha held at the party’s state office in Hyderabad, Ramchander Rao alleged that both the Congress and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) had failed the backward classes.

The BJP leader said that the BRS had failed to fulfil its promises to backward classes communities and claimed that the Congress is continuing the same approach.

Ramchander Rao stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party has taken up several issues concerning the rights and interests of backward classes communities across Telangana.

He also brought up the issue of BC reservations, alleging that decisions taken by previous Congress governments had adversely affected the reservation share of backward classes communities. Accusing the Congress of pursuing minority appeasement politics, Ramchander Rao said the reservation issue needed a wider debate.

Focusing on the MBC Corporation, the BJP president questioned whether the entity was functioning effectively and whether the Telangana government had provided it with adequate funds.

He demanded that the state government release a comprehensive report detailing the funds allocated to the corporation, its day-to-day functioning, and the exact number of beneficiaries assisted so far.
