BJP and BRS Launch Poster Blitz Against Revanth Reddy Government

Opposition parties in Telangana launched coordinated visual campaigns across Hyderabad targeting Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and his administration as the Congress government approached its 1,000-day milestone in office.

Both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) installed posters and massive banners in prominent parts of the city, including near Begumpet Airport in the Cantonment constituency, criticising the state government's performance over the period.

The Telangana BJP put up posters across several prominent city locations taking aim at the administration. One of the featured posters was divided into two sections, depicting Chief Minister Reddy carrying a sack filled with money over his shoulder while multiple hands reached out towards the sack, appearing to beg for the funds.

Simultaneously, BRS leaders from the Cantonment constituency installed massive 420-foot banners near Begumpet Airport. The banners focused on what the party described as the Congress government's "420 promises, declarations and guarantees."

The BRS displays also spotlighted Chief Minister Reddy's official travel, specifically highlighting his foreign tours and his 77 visits to Delhi, along with the public expenditure incurred during those trips.

The opposition offensive arrived as the Congress administration prepared to mark 1,000 days in power. The Reddy government has maintained a focus on its achievements during this tenure, highlighting its initiatives in public welfare, regional development, social justice, and administrative reforms.

According to the government's official assessment, more than 25 lakh farmers have benefited from a crop-loan waiver of up to Rs 2 lakh. In addition, the state administration reported that over 15 lakh new ration cards have been issued to eligible beneficiaries across Telangana.
