BJP Accuses Congress and BRS of Colluding with AIMIM at Secunderabad Meeting

On Saturday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) intensified its political campaign in Hyderabad by accusing the ruling Congress and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) of colluding with the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) to "Islamise" the city for vote-bank politics. Addressing a party workers' meeting in the Secunderabad Mahankali district, state BJP president N. Ramchander Rao and Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy criticized the state administration's governance, selective demolition drives, and handling of civic issues.

During the meeting, Rao alleged that the BRS had previously struck tacit understandings with the AIMIM to win elections around Hyderabad, and claimed that the Congress is now similarly operating under the AIMIM's influence. While stating that the BJP respects all religions, he condemned the use of religion for electoral gains and accused the Congress of treating itself as synonymous with Muslims.

Rao alleged a systematic "Islamisation" of Hyderabad, claiming that certain schools are compelling non-Muslim students to recite the Kalma. He also accused the state government of failing to act against illegal constructions linked to AIMIM leaders, despite directions from the High Court.

The BJP leader criticized the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection Agency (HYDRAA) demolition drives. He alleged that the administration is targeting and demolishing the homes of poor people while ignoring the illegal properties of certain political leaders.

Describing the administration of Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy as a "Tughlaq" rule, Rao criticized the Chief Minister for retaining key portfolios, including home and education, without appointing full ministers. According to Rao, this has undermined law and order, leading to an increase in murders, assaults, and fraud.

The opposition party also accused both the BRS and Congress of betraying the public on employment and welfare. Rao pointed to alleged exam leaks during the BRS regime and criticized the Congress for failing to fulfill its manifesto promises, such as increasing wages for mid-day meal workers and resolving pending fee reimbursements. He highlighted poor conditions in Backward Classes (BC) hostels, frequent food-poisoning incidents, clogged drains, and corruption in municipal services.

With upcoming elections in Greater Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Malkajgiri, Rao urged party cadres to prepare for sustained protests and public outreach to challenge the Congress government. He called upon local workers in the Secunderabad and Malkajgiri areas to take personal responsibility for the party's campaign in these regions.
