Bhongir MLA Flags Off Electric Sanitation Vehicles In Bhoodan Pochampally

On Tuesday, Bhongir MLA Kumbam Anil Kumar Reddy flagged off new electric sanitation vehicles for the Bhoodan Pochampally municipality in Nalgonda, Telangana. The introduction of these vehicles is aimed at enhancing door-to-door garbage collection and implementing scientific waste management practices across the urban local body.

Speaking at the event in Bhoodan Pochampally, MLA Kumbam Anil Kumar Reddy emphasized that ensuring better sanitation in both urban and rural areas is essential for creating a healthy environment for the people. He stated that municipal authorities and local residents must work in close coordination to keep their respective colonies clean.

The MLA stressed the importance of active public participation in maintaining cleanliness throughout the municipality. He appealed to the local residents to take responsibility for keeping their surroundings hygienic. According to Anil Kumar, systematic door-to-door garbage collection combined with scientific waste management will significantly improve the quality of sanitation services in urban areas. He further noted that maintaining a clean and hygienic environment is a key factor in preventing diseases, particularly the spread of communicable illnesses among the population.

The flagging-off ceremony saw the participation of several prominent local leaders and administrative officials. Key attendees alongside the Bhongir MLA included Pochampally municipal chairman Tadaka Venkateswarlu, municipal commissioner Anjan Reddy, and municipal vice-chairperson Koyyada Rajani Srinivas. A number of municipal councillors and other local officials were also present at the programme to support the launch of the new electric vehicles.
