Bhatti Vikramarka Launches ₹131.61 Crore Development Works in Madhira

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka laid the foundation stones for several development projects worth ₹131.61 crore in Chintakani and Bonakal mandals of Madhira Assembly constituency in Khammam district on Sunday.

Among the key initiatives is a new Government Nursing College at Lachagudem in Chintakani mandal, to be constructed at an estimated cost of ₹29 crore. The broader package of works encompasses CC and BT roads, drainage facilities, and agricultural infrastructure, including warehouses and godowns.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Vikramarka stated that these projects would enhance rural road connectivity and drive growth across agriculture, education, and other critical sectors in the constituency.

He highlighted the government's focus on expanding healthcare services across the State. The administration is working to provide super-specialty medical care through modernised hospitals and upgraded health infrastructure, which includes the addition of 14,000 hospital beds.

Mr. Vikramarka also detailed the progress of various welfare programs, noting that fine rice is currently supplied to approximately 1.06 crore families holding white ration cards. In addition, around 53 lakh families are receiving free electricity of up to 200 units under the State's welfare initiative.

He added that the Congress government has set a target of developing Telangana into a $3-trillion economy by the year 2047.
