Begumpet Police Book Star Hotel Chairman Over Sexual Harassment Allegations

The Begumpet police have registered a case against the chairman of a star hotel in Hyderabad following a complaint by a 35-year-old female employee who accused him of sexual harassment and inappropriate behaviour.

According to the complaint, the woman had been working at the hotel since 2023. She alleged that the chairman routinely made inappropriate remarks towards her during her tenure.

The complainant stated that the harassment escalated when she sought a salary hike, during which the chairman allegedly demanded sexual favours in exchange for the increment.

She further alleged that staff members from the hotel's Human Resources (HR) and Information Technology (IT) departments subsequently threatened her and actively forced her out of her job.

Based on the formal complaint lodged by the woman, the Begumpet police booked a case and have initiated an investigation into the allegations.
