Bank of Baroda Opens Recruitment for 2,482 Local Bank Officers Across India

Bank of Baroda has announced a nationwide recruitment drive to fill 2,482 Local Bank Officer positions across 20 States and Union Territories, the public sector lender confirmed in Hyderabad.
Under the recruitment initiative, selected candidates will be appointed to the JMG/S-I grade and deployed in their respective States or Union Territories for the first 12 years of their service, or until they achieve promotion to the SMGS-IV grade. The localised staffing framework is designed to strengthen regional service delivery, improve cultural alignment, and ensure fluency in local languages.
According to a statement issued by the bank, this strategy will enable the institution to deepen its community relationships and support grassroots economic activity across the country. Bank of Baroda Executive Director Lal Singh stated that the initiative is intended to build local talent pools while advancing inclusive growth.
To be eligible for the positions, applicants must be between 21 and 30 years of age as of August 1, 2026, subject to applicable age relaxations. Candidates are required to hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised institution.
In addition to educational qualifications, candidates must have a minimum of one year of post-qualification experience working as an officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank.
Eligible candidates can submit their applications online through the official Bank of Baroda website. The bank has set the final deadline for submitting applications as September 7, 2026.
