Bank of Baroda has announced a nationwide recruitment drive to fill 2,482 Local Bank Officer positions in the JMG/S-I grade across 20 States and Union Territories, with applications open until September 7, 2026.
Under this localised staffing model, selected candidates will be posted in their respective States or Union Territories for the first 12 years of service or until they achieve promotion to the SMGS-IV grade.
According to a statement issued by the public sector bank, the regional deployment strategy aims to ensure strong cultural alignment and fluency in local languages. This approach is intended to help the bank strengthen regional service delivery, deepen community ties, and support grassroots economic activity.
Applicants must be between 21 and 30 years of age as of August 1, 2026, subject to applicable age relaxations. Candidates are required to hold a graduation degree in any discipline along with a minimum of one year of post-qualification experience serving as an officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank.
Bank of Baroda Executive Director Lal Singh stated that the recruitment initiative would help build local talent pools while advancing inclusive growth.
