Banjara Hills Police Book Man for Harassing Student Over Fake IT Job Offer

The Banjara Hills police have registered a case against a man identified as Venkata Sambasiva Reddy for allegedly harassing a young woman after luring her with the promise of an IT job in Hyderabad.

According to the police, the suspect made contact with the victim and offered to help her secure employment in the IT sector. Under the pretext of conducting a formal job interview, Reddy allegedly called the woman to a room, where he behaved inappropriately with her.

Following the incident, the suspect allegedly escalated the harassment by threatening the victim. Police reported that Reddy threatened to send her private photographs and chat screenshots directly to her parents.

The victim, a native of Prakasam district, is currently living in a hostel in Hyderabad while pursuing her studies.

After receiving the threats, the student approached the Banjara Hills police to file an official complaint. Based on her statement, officers registered a case against Venkata Sambasiva Reddy. Police confirmed that an investigation into the allegations is currently ongoing.
