Bandlaguda's Riddhi Toro Wins U-14 CBSE Table Tennis Singles Title

Riddhi Toro of TIME School, Bandlaguda, clinched the under-14 singles title at the CBSE Cluster VII table tennis tournament held at Sir CR Reddy Public School in Eluru, Andhra Pradesh.

In the singles final, Riddhi recovered after dropping the first game to defeat Hetvika Kolli of VPS Public School, Vijayawada, with a scoreline of 7-11, 11-9, 11-8, 11-5. Earlier in the tournament, she secured her spot in the final by earning an 11-9, 9-11, 11-6 victory against P. Mokshika of OliveMount GlobalSchool, Hyderabad, in the semifinal match.

In addition to the individual singles triumph, TIME School of Hyderabad finished as the runner-up in the under-14 girls team event. Sri Prakash Synergy School from East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh, defeated TIME School 3-1 in the team final.

The team final opened with K. Nayana of Sri Prakash Synergy School defeating Vanshika 3-2. Riddhi Toro then leveled the tie for TIME School by scoring a 3-0 win against D.V. Geetanjali.

Sri Prakash Synergy School restored their advantage when M.V. Satya Sai defeated N. Ananya 3-1. K. Nayana then sealed the team title for the East Godavari school by edging past Riddhi Toro 3-2 in the fourth game.
