Bandi Sanjay and Etala Rajender Resolve Differences at BJP Hyderabad Meeting

Ahead of the upcoming Telangana Assembly elections, Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar and Malkajgiri MP Etala Rajender held a reconciliation meeting at the Hyderabad residence of senior BJP leader Dr K. Laxman to resolve internal rifts and project a united front. The meeting, convened under the supervision of BJP state in-charge Abhay Patil, aimed to suppress internal factionalism and align the party's focus on winning the state elections.

During the closed-door discussion, Abhay Patil conveyed a firm message from the party's central leadership to stop factional chatter, close ranks, and focus on bringing the BJP to power in Telangana. The intervention is part of a broader strategy by the BJP high command to replicate the "Bengal formula," which involves central oversight, strict discipline, and a campaign built on emotional connection.

Following the meeting, both Bandi Sanjay and Etala Rajender addressed the media together to dispel rumors of internal division. Bandi Sanjay stated that the party's decisions were final for him and committed to working with all leaders to strengthen the BJP's prospects in the state.

Etala Rajender echoed these sentiments, asserting that the BJP would form the next government in Telangana. He claimed that voters in the state were disillusioned with the policies of the previous Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) regime as well as the unfulfilled promises of the current Congress government.

Dr K. Laxman also spoke to the media, accusing the ruling Congress party of failing to deliver on its electoral commitments. He dismissed talk of serious differences within the state BJP unit and noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is giving special attention to the development of Telangana.

The joint appearance follows recent efforts by Abhay Patil to cool tempers among key state leaders, including a dinner meeting with Etala Rajender prior to this joint sit-down with Bandi Sanjay. Through these central interventions, the BJP is seeking to enforce a ceasefire and maintain campaign momentum ahead of the polls.
