Balapur Police Seek Custody of Two Suspects in Kothapet Murder

The Balapur police are preparing to file a petition before a court to seek custody of two suspects arrested in connection with the murder of Fahad Bin Abdul Rahman Balkhashar in Mariyam Colony, Kothapet. The victim was allegedly assaulted and stabbed at his residence early on July 6, 2026.

The two suspects, identified as Sayeed Bin Faisal Baom and Salman Bin Abdul Raheem Baom, who also goes by the alias Salam Baom, were arrested on July 7, 2026. Following their arrest, they were remanded to judicial custody. The police now intend to secure their custody for further interrogation to gather more details as part of their ongoing investigation.

According to law enforcement officials, the violent encounter took place at approximately 2:40 am at Balkhashar's residence, which is located near the Madina Plastic Godown in Mariyam Colony, Kothapet. The suspects allegedly attacked Balkhashar using a stick and subsequently stabbed him with a knife.

Immediately after the assault, Balkhashar was rushed to Owaisi Hospital. However, medical professionals at the hospital pronounced him dead upon arrival.

The police have attributed the fatal attack to a financial dispute between the victim and the two suspects. In addition to this motive, investigators are examining a mobile phone that has been seized from the scene. Sources close to the investigation stated that the dispute is also believed to be connected to certain content stored on the seized phone. The device has been sent for forensic examination to analyze potential evidence.

By securing custody of Sayeed Bin Faisal Baom and Salman Bin Abdul Raheem Baom, investigators aim to conduct further interrogation to establish the exact details surrounding the motive and the crime.
