Avinash Mohanty Takes Charge as TG-SAFE Commissioner in Hyderabad

Senior Indian Police Service officer Avinash Mohanty assumed charge as the commissioner of the Telangana Standards Authority for Food and Essential Drugs (TG-SAFE) in Hyderabad on Monday.

Mohanty, who belongs to the 2005 batch of the IPS, takes leadership of the regulatory authority following its formation in the state.

According to an official press release issued by TG-SAFE, the authority has been established to strengthen the regulatory framework governing food and drugs across Telangana.

The agency's primary mandate includes ensuring quality, safety, and strict compliance with prescribed standards in the state.
