Auto Driver Abdul Rauf Murdered in Mailardevpally, Special Team Formed

An auto-rickshaw driver was murdered at Alinagar under the Mailardevpally police limits in Hyderabad on Wednesday night. The victim was identified as Abdul Rauf, a resident of Jahangirabad.

According to eye-witnesses at the scene, two to three persons attacked and killed Rauf during the night. Following the incident, local authorities were alerted and rushed to the location to initiate an inquiry.

Rajendranagar Deputy Commissioner of Police S Sreenivas inspected the crime spot and confirmed that a special team has been formed to track down and apprehend the accused.

Sreenivas stated that the police have widened their investigation in connection with the murder that occurred at Pallecheruvu on Tuesday night as well. The DCP exuded confidence that the suspects allegedly involved in Rauf’s murder would be nabbed soon.

In response to the incident, the DCP made it clear that the movement of individuals during nighttime hours will be dealt with strictly moving forward. Police officials stated that strict measures will be enforced across the area to maintain law and order.

"We will ensure that the shops would be closed before midnight and all precautionary measures would be taken to prevent any untoward incident," Sreenivas said.
