Art Director Anand Sai's Son Arrested After Fatal Khajaguda Crash

Raidurgam police have arrested Sandeep, the son of art director Anand Sai, in connection with an alleged fatal hit-and-run on the ORR-Khajaguda road that left a 40-year-old pedestrian dead and a student rescuer critically injured.
The freak chain of collisions took place on Monday along the main road connecting the Outer Ring Road Rotary and Khajaguda village.
According to police information, the deceased victim, identified as 40-year-old Nandulal, was walking along the roadside when a new Toyota Innova car allegedly struck him. The severe impact left Nandulal critically injured on the road. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and fled the spot immediately after the collision.
A student, identified as Zaid Shah Qadri, noticed the critically injured pedestrian and came to his rescue. Zaid was attempting to shift Nandulal to a nearby hospital for emergency medical care when another vehicle struck him.
Police officials stated that a high-speed Mahindra car hit Zaid while he was helping the first victim. Nandulal succumbed to his injuries, while Zaid sustained serious injuries and had to be shifted to a nearby hospital for urgent treatment.
The unusual sequence of road accidents prompted the Raidurgam police to register a case and launch a detailed investigation. During the probe, police officers tracked down the Toyota Innova allegedly involved in the initial hit-and-run collision and seized the vehicle.
Investigators identified Sandeep, the son of art director Anand Sai, as the person driving the Innova that hit Nandulal. Sandeep was taken into police custody and formally arrested on Tuesday.
Police officials stated that the investigation remains underway to establish the exact sequence of events, examine the circumstances surrounding both collisions, and determine the roles and legal accountability of everyone involved.
