Anvita Khammam Aces Defeat Anurag Nalgonda Knights by 34 Runs in Hyderabad

On Wednesday, 1 July 2026, the Anvita Khammam Aces defeated the Anurag Nalgonda Knights by 34 runs in a Sreenidhi University TG20 league match at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad. The victory propelled the Aces back into the tournament's playoff spots, moving them to fourth on the points table, while the Knights slipped to third place.

Following the match, Aces skipper Himateja Kodimela, who was named player of the match, moved to second place in the Orange Cap standings with 282 runs. Meanwhile, 16-year-old bowler Ved Reddy rose to second in the Purple Cap standings after taking three wickets during the game.

Batting first, the Aces posted a total of 211/2 in their 20 overs. Openers Paras Raj and Wafi Kachchhi gave the team a solid start, putting together a 53-run opening partnership to help the Aces reach 51 without loss at the end of the powerplay. Kachchhi contributed 14 runs off 19 balls before departing.

Skipper Kodimela then anchored the innings with an unbeaten 80, partnering with G Sai Krishna Reddy, who finished unbeaten on 56. Kodimela reached his half-century in just 18 balls. The duo added 135 runs in the second half of the innings to set a target of 212.

In response, the Knights got off to a quick start as Gaurav Reddy and Jashwanth Mote put on 45 runs in under four overs. Mote scored 22 off 13 balls before being dismissed by Mahesh Vipparla. Gaurav Reddy went on to score 54 off 35 balls.

The Knights' chase faltered when Ved Reddy triggered a collapse by dismissing both Gaurav Reddy and Divesh in the same over. Kachchhi then tightened the bowling effort, running out Rahul and dismissing Aniketh Reddy and Varun Goud to reduce the Knights to 124/7 after 15 overs.

The Knights ultimately finished their 20 overs at 177/8, with Harshwardhan Singh remaining unbeaten on 37. Ved Reddy finished with bowling figures of 3/26, while Kachchhi claimed 3/35 to secure the 34-run victory for the Aces.
