Anil Ravipudi Film Starring Venkatesh and Kalyan Ram Begins Production in Hyderabad

Regular production for director Anil Ravipudi’s upcoming family-oriented film starring Venkatesh Daggubati and Nandamuri Kalyan Ram is scheduled to begin in Hyderabad on June 22, 2026. The announcement was made on June 21, 2026, through a promotional video that revealed the core cast, crew, and regional setting of the movie.

The project, which was launched recently, brings together lead actors from the Daggubati and Nandamuri film families. Produced by Sahu Garapati, the movie is being planned for a release during the Sankranthi festival.

To generate anticipation, Ravipudi released a quirky promotional video to announce the start of regular filming. In the video, Ravipudi talks to his team about the recognition he receives from fans, jokingly stating that admirers have presented him with a sword and a turban as symbols of his title as the "king of promotions."

The video features playful interactions among the cast and crew. Lead actor Venkatesh uses the promotional sword to nick Ravipudi’s thumb and applies a Veera Tilakam on the director's forehead. Kalyan Ram repeats the gesture, followed by actresses Keerthy Suresh and Krithi Shetty. Composer GV Prakash Kumar also participates in the sequence.

While the promotional video focuses on lighthearted entertainment, it also offers a glimpse into the narrative backdrop of the film. Although the story is fundamentally a family-oriented entertainer, it is rooted in the Rayalaseema region.

This project marks another directorial venture for Ravipudi, who is known for delivering festive entertainers. The director previously worked with Kalyan Ram on the film Pataas, which served as Ravipudi's directorial debut. Ravipudi is embarking on this new production following the success of his recent film, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu.
