Amit Sanghi Re-Elected President of Telangana Rifle Association for 2026-2030 Term

Amit Sanghi was re-elected as the president of the Telangana Rifle Association (TRA) for the 2026-2030 term during the association's 13th Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) and elections held in Hyderabad on Monday.
The newly elected managing committee will serve a four-year tenure spanning from 2026 to 2030. According to an official media release from the TRA, the newly formed leadership team will continue its efforts toward strengthening sports shooting across the state of Telangana.
Alongside Amit Sanghi's re-election to the top post, Wasif Hasan Lateef was elected as the senior vice-president of the association. Mohammed Sohailuddin Farooqui and Dr Mohammed Saleem Moosa were elected to serve as the vice-presidents.
Jamalpuri Kiran was chosen as the general secretary of the TRA, while Dr Vamsidhar Nali will serve as the treasurer. Mohd Mustafa Khan was elected to the post of joint secretary.
The managing committee also features an elected executive body comprising seven members: Bobbili Narsaiah, K Sravan Kumar, Mohammed Hassan Shareef, Aneesha Bansal, Mandapati Satya Rani, Nawab M Shafath Ali Khan, and Mohammed Abdul Qadeer Khan.
Following the elections, the TRA outlined the core objectives and focus areas for the newly appointed committee over the next four years. The association stated that the leadership will prioritise the promotion and support of athletes and coaches across various shooting disciplines.
In addition to athlete development, the committee will focus on establishing and upgrading shooting infrastructure throughout Telangana. The TRA noted that the team will work on identifying and nurturing grassroots sporting talent while further advancing the collective interests of the state's shooting fraternity.
