Amazon Selects Hyderabad for Permanent AWS Builder Loft Facility

Amazon has selected Hyderabad to establish a permanent AWS Builder Loft, making the city one of the few global locations to host the dedicated developer space. The announcement follows the launch of the first AWS Builder Loft in San Francisco in July 2025.

According to an AWS blog post, the Hyderabad facility is part of a broader global expansion that also includes new locations in Berlin and São Paulo. The initiative aims to provide community-focused workspaces for developers, students, and technology professionals.

AWS stated that the Hyderabad loft is designed to support Indian developers as artificial intelligence continues to reshape software development. The space will focus on helping developers build skills in AI, explore cloud-native architecture, and collaborate on applications tailored for both domestic and international markets.

In its announcement, AWS highlighted different regional priorities for the expansion, noting that Berlin was selected due to growing interest in digital sovereignty and Europe's startup ecosystem, while São Paulo was chosen to cater to rapid cloud growth across Latin America.

The upcoming Hyderabad site will offer a variety of free resources and amenities. These will include workshops, networking sessions, pitch nights, content creation facilities, co-working areas, and dedicated event spaces to foster collaboration within the city's technology ecosystem.
