AM Intelligence Orders 9,000 NVIDIA Rubin GPUs for Hyderabad AI Factory

AM Intelligence, an AI infrastructure platform promoted by the founders of Greenko, announced on Tuesday that it has placed a binding order for 9,000 NVIDIA Rubin GPUs for its first AI factory in Hyderabad. The deployment will position the Hyderabad site among the earliest Vera Rubin frontier compute clusters in Asia.

The GPUs are scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2027 and will be installed as NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 rack-scale systems. The Hyderabad facility will initially provide 30 megawatts of capacity, serving as the first tranche of the company's planned 1 gigawatt Compute-as-a-Service buildout across India, the United States, Finland, and Malaysia.

The Hyderabad-based company stated that it plans to bring 200 MW of capacity to market in the near term, supported by capital expenditure exceeding $8 billion. In addition, AMI is developing 5 GW of powered AI data centres across India, the United States, and Europe, specifically designed for dense, liquid-cooled AI computing infrastructure.

AM Intelligence chairman Anil Chalamalasetty noted that the GPU order marks the company's shift from transforming electrons into value toward converting power infrastructure into large-scale AI compute capabilities.

According to AMI, the Hyderabad AI factory will integrate NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin architecture with RoCE networking and advanced storage systems. The infrastructure is designed to handle sophisticated artificial intelligence workloads, including trillion-parameter models and agentic AI applications.
