AIMIM Leader Mahboob Ali Stabbed to Death in Hyderabad's Falaknuma

A 60-year-old All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) worker, Mahboob Ali, was stabbed to death by an unidentified group of assailants late Sunday night in Wattepally under the Falaknuma police station limits in Hyderabad.

According to officials, a group of five to six people surrounded Ali near Almas Hotel and launched an attack using knives and sickles. The assailants inflicted multiple severe stab wounds on Ali before fleeing the scene.

Ali remained lying on the road for about 15 minutes following the assault. He was subsequently shifted to a hospital for emergency medical care, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

Falaknuma police personnel reached the spot after receiving information about the incident and launched a probe. Police said that three special teams have been formed to track down and arrest the suspects. The motive behind the murder has not yet been established, and investigators are gathering information from eyewitnesses and the victim's family members.

Following the killing, AIMIM MLA Mohammed Mubeen visited the bereaved family to express his condolences. The legislator also visited the local police station to meet with investigating officers and demand immediate, strict action against those responsible for the crime.

Mubeen urged the Government of Telangana and the Hyderabad Police to strengthen patrolling, crack down on anti-social elements, and take stringent action against violent crime and drug menace to safeguard citizens. Further details regarding the case are awaited as the investigation progresses.
