AICTE Officer Urges Hyderabad Students to Focus on Reskilling and AI

AICTE Chief Coordinating Officer Dr. Buddha Chandrashekhar urged students in Hyderabad to focus on education, skilling, and emerging technologies during a deeptech boot camp on June 21, 2026. Speaking at the event, he emphasized the critical need for continuous learning, reskilling, and upskilling in the modern era.

The address took place during the valedictory function of a specialized boot camp focused on Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) for Deeptech. The educational program was organized by Brain O’ Vision in the city.

During his speech, Dr. Chandrashekhar highlighted the global capabilities of Indians, pointing out that many of the world's best scientists, educationists, doctors, nurses, and entrepreneurs are Indian. He specifically cited NASA as an example of where Indian professionals are currently excelling.

However, the AICTE official noted a key area for improvement, stating that while capability remains a major strength for Indians, they often lack the ability to "think out of the box." He pointed out that because most modern technologies were historically developed by the West, it is now high time for Indians to focus their efforts on creating and developing newer technologies.

Dr. Chandrashekhar also identified several highly promising but unexplored sectors for young professionals. He stated that massive opportunities await students in supply chain and logistics systems, and urged them to explore these fields alongside the maritime and cyber security sectors.

Other industry leaders also shared insights at the event. Microsoft tech leader Sunil Sathyavolu spoke about the rapidly evolving technological landscape, stating that in the current era of "co-pilots," members of Gen Z and Gen Alpha must aim to be the actual pilots. He added that those who learn to work alongside artificial intelligence are the ones who will survive in the future job market.

Closing the event, Brain O’ Vision CEO Ganesh Nag Doddi expressed his vision for the program, stating that he wanted the DSA for Deeptech course to become accessible to as many students as possible.
