Adi Srinivas Orders Measures After Five Cattle Die at Vemulawada Goshala

Telangana Government Whip Adi Srinivas on Wednesday directed officials to take all necessary measures to ensure the proper maintenance and protection of cows following the death of five cattle at the Tippapur Goshala in Vemulawada, Rajanna Sircilla district.

Srinivas visited the goshala to inspect the conditions and take stock of the situation firsthand. Following the inspection, he warned that strict action would be taken against officials or staff if any lapses were found in the maintenance and operations of the facility. He directed the administrative authorities to remain vigilant and ensure continuous care and protection for the sheltered cattle.

Highlighting the sentiments of temple visitors, Srinivas stated that the goshala must be maintained properly so that the trust of devotees who donate cows to the temple is not violated.

Srinivas also shared details regarding upcoming infrastructure improvements, stating that the State Cabinet had decided to construct a new goshala across 40 acres of land. He added that the existing Tippapur facility was also being expanded to cater to the current population of cattle.

To safeguard animal health, Srinivas suggested implementing an initial quarantine procedure for cows newly donated by devotees. Under this system, incoming cattle would be isolated and have their health closely monitored for the first few days. He explained that this precaution would help prevent the spread of infections and diseases that newly arrived animals might carry to the rest of the herd.
