Digital creator and actress Ruhee Dosani recently visited Hyderabad to explore the city, sharing insights into her transition from viral social media collaborations to mainstream acting. Currently starring in the Amazon Prime Video series Alliance, Dosani spoke about her experiences discovering the city's local culture and food, alongside her philosophy on creative partnerships.
During her visit, Dosani noted that while she had previously been to Hyderabad as a child, this trip marked her first time truly discovering the city on her own terms. She praised the warmth of the local residents and highlighted her experiences exploring the city's cultural aspects and culinary scene, moving past the stereotypical nightlife of clubs and parties.
When discussing her personal preferences for a night out, Dosani expressed a strong affinity for Bollywood music, private gatherings, and Sufi nights. She noted that she does not enjoy pop music, preferring instead to spend her evenings listening to Bollywood tracks with her friends and family.
Dosani, who has frequently been referred to as the "Queen of Collab" on social media, also reflected on how her digital journey began. She explained that she started creating content after moving back to India following an eight-year stay in the United States. At the time, she did not have a set plan other than meeting up with her friends to collaborate and create fun videos.
Addressing her approach to digital content, Dosani emphasized that successful collaborations rely heavily on genuine chemistry and creativity rather than audience metrics. She stated that if creators focus on their mutual connection, the content becomes naturally engaging. Conversely, she noted that if either creator is not fully invested in the project, the lack of enthusiasm becomes visible to the audience in the final video.
Looking toward the future, the actress revealed that she is currently working on a project with Coke Studio and has several other ventures in the pipeline. She expressed a desire to continue entertaining her audience through diverse formats to prevent her work from becoming monotonous.
