Actor Manchu Vishnu Visits Medak Heritage Sites To Promote Tourism

On Saturday, Movie Artists Association (MAA) president and actor Manchu Vishnu visited prominent historical and religious landmarks in Medak, including the Edupayala Vanadurga Mata temple, the Medak Fort, and the historic CSI Cathedral. The visit was part of a tourism promotion initiative aimed at highlighting the cultural and tourist potential of the district.
During his tour, the actor called for greater efforts to preserve and promote the historical and cultural landmarks of Medak district, which he described as a treasure trove of ancient heritage.
Upon his arrival at the Edupayala Vanadurga Mata temple, Manchu Vishnu was received by Medak Additional Collector Nagesh along with the temple priests. The priests welcomed him with traditional Purna Kumbham honours. During the visit, the actor offered special prayers to Sri Vanadurga Mata and received theertha prasadam.
Following his temple visit, Manchu Vishnu proceeded to the historic Medak Fort. There, district officials briefed him on the historical significance of the structure. He also visited the world-famous Medak CSI Cathedral, where he offered prayers.
Addressing the media during the visit, Manchu Vishnu spoke about the importance of preserving India's historical legacy for future generations. He expressed his appreciation for the Medak district administration's efforts in preparing a master plan to develop the district's heritage and tourist destinations.
The actor pointed out that while Medak is home to several important pilgrimage centres and historical monuments, they deserve wider recognition. He observed that it was unfortunate that many residents living in nearby Hyderabad had never visited these local heritage sites.
To support the promotion of the district, Manchu Vishnu expressed his commitment to showcasing Medak. He stated that he would make every effort to feature the district as a filming location in a future film in which he acts or which he produces.
The visit was attended by several district officials, including District Tourism Officer Ramesh, Municipal Chairperson Radhika Bhoopathi Raj, Vice-Chairman Donthi Naresh Goud, Municipal Commissioner Naveen, and DSP Prasanna Kumar.
