ACB Investigates DSP Bheem Reddy Over Rs 150 Crore In Alleged Assets

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has launched an investigation into a disproportionate assets case targeting Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bheem Reddy, focusing on his luxury lifestyle and multiple properties. The probe has turned its attention to his previous residence in an upscale apartment in Gachibowli, as well as several other high-value assets across Hyderabad.
During its preliminary investigation, the ACB found that the police officer lived in the Gachibowli apartment before relocating, more than a year ago, to an expensive villa located near Taramati Baradari. Investigators are currently scrutinising how the officer funded the purchase of the villa, which sources state is well beyond his known sources of income.
The ACB has so far identified 20 properties linked to the officer, with earlier estimates valuing these assets at approximately ₹150 crore. According to officials, all but a few of these 20 identified properties are registered under the names of five alleged benamis rather than the officer himself.
One of these five alleged benamis is a resident of Patancheru and is reportedly in possession of several of the identified properties. Officials stated that the investigation is still in its early stages, and they expect to identify even more assets as the inquiry continues.
Sources revealed that DSP Bheem Reddy has been known for more than a decade to travel in high-end luxury cars, and his lifestyle has frequently been a subject of discussion among others. The officer is also known for his networking skills.
The ACB officials noted that it will be difficult for Bheem Reddy to explain the acquisition of the Taramati Baradari villa, let alone the numerous other properties currently registered under the names of his alleged benamis. The investigation into the full scale of the officer's assets remains ongoing.
