ACB Catches Vikarabad Gram Panchayat Officer Accepting Rs 6,000 Bribe

Sleuths from the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught a Gram Panchayat Officer (GPO) red-handed at his office in Doma mandal, Vikarabad, on Monday after he allegedly demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 6,000.
According to officials, the GPO had demanded the bribe amount to process an application related to the state government's Kalyana Lakshmi scheme.
Following a complaint regarding the bribe demand, the ACB sleuths laid a trap at the officer's office in Doma mandal and apprehended him on the spot.
