The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday, July 9, 2026, arrested a Panchayat Raj assistant engineer in Karimnagar district for demanding and accepting a bribe of ₹10,000. The official was apprehended while taking the money to process official records related to works executed under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS).
The accused official has been identified as Paidi Sathish, who serves as the Assistant Engineer (Panchayat Raj) of Choppadandi mandal. He was also formerly posted at Gangadhara mandal. The arrest was carried out by the ACB’s Karimnagar range unit.
