8-year-old girl rescued near Lakdikapul metro station reunited with family

An eight-year-old girl who had wandered off from her home was rescued by the police near the Lakdikapul metro station in Hyderabad and safely reunited with her family within an hour on Tuesday, June 2.

The girl, identified as Manvi, was spotted by a police constable while she was wandering alone in a distressed state. Recognizing that the child was lost, the constable immediately rescued her, brought her safely to the police station, and informed the Saifabad Station House Officer.

When the police enquired, the girl said she lived in Habeebnagar, nearly two kilometers away from where she was found near the metro station.

Police officers then traced her house and contacted her father, Rajesh Kumar. He was called to the police station, and after the necessary verification protocols were conducted, the girl was safely handed over.

The prompt intervention of the constable and the Saifabad police ensured the child was returned to her family safely.
