40-Year-Old Woman Electrocuted in Peerzadiguda While Using Immersion Heater

A 40-year-old woman died after suffering an electric shock while using an immersion water heater at her residence in Mallikarjuna Nagar, Peerzadiguda, in Medipally on Monday evening.
The victim was identified as D Swathi, a native of Bhongir. She lived with her husband, Srinivas, who works at a printing press in Cherlapally, and their three children.
According to the police, Swathi accidentally slipped while the immersion water heater was switched on, causing her hand to come into contact with the water in the bucket. The impact of the severe electric shock caused her to die on the spot.
Parts of her body sustained burn injuries due to the intense electrical current. Neighbours who noticed smoke coming from the residence rushed inside, discovered Swathi in a burnt condition, and immediately alerted the authorities.
The Medipally police reached the location shortly after being informed and have launched an investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the fatal accident.
