40 children escape with minor injuries as school bus hits truck in Mahabubabad

Forty school children traveling in a private school bus had a narrow escape after their bus collided with a truck at the Nallela village crossroad in the Seerole mandal of Mahabubabad district. The accident occurred when the driver of the school bus lost control of the vehicle due to overspeeding, leading to a direct crash into the truck traveling ahead of it.

The Seerole police reported that the school children on board the private bus received minor injuries during the crash. The collision resulted in substantial damage to the entire front portion of the school bus.

Following the accident, Seerole Sub-Inspector G Santhosh and other police officials arrived at the Nallela village crossroad to manage the situation. The police team quickly ensured that all the children were safe and subsequently handed them over to their parents.

Sub-Inspector G Santhosh confirmed that the Seerole police have officially registered a case regarding the road accident. A police investigation is currently underway to determine the exact cause of the crash and evaluate the driver's overspeeding.

In the aftermath of the collision, government whip and Dornakal Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Ram Chander Naik visited the accident spot. The MLA enquired about the details of the incident from the local police and checked on the condition of the school children.

To avoid similar road accidents on this stretch in the future, MLA Ram Chander Naik instructed the concerned authorities to implement safety measures. He called for the immediate installation of speed breakers at required spots along the road to regulate the speed of vehicles and ensure the safety of students and local residents.
