39 Hyderabad Companies Named Among Indias 500 Most Valuable Private Firms

A total of 39 companies headquartered in Hyderabad secured spots on the fifth edition of the '500 most valuable non-state-run companies in India' report. Released by Axis Bank's Burgundy Private and Hurun India, the report highlighted Hyderabad's emergence as a major corporate hub, with the number of represented Telangana firms rising from just nine when the list began in 2021.

The combined valuation of these 39 companies surged by 75 percent since 2021, growing from Rs 5.2 lakh crore to over Rs 12 lakh crore. Over a five-year growth period, these Hyderabad-based businesses added an average of Rs 283 crore in value per day, reinforcing the city's status as one of India's most influential corporate centres.

Divi's Laboratories led the state's representation on the national list, ranking as the most valuable company from Telangana with a valuation of Rs 1.7 lakh crore. Dr Reddy's Labs secured the second position in the state with a valuation of Rs 1.1 lakh crore, followed by Megha Engineering & Infrastructures in third place at Rs 83,800 crore.

Aurobindo Pharma took the fourth spot with a valuation of Rs 80,710 crore. Greenko, a new entrant to the prestigious list, ranked fifth among the state's companies with a valuation of Rs 71,100 crore.

Laurus Labs was recorded as the biggest gainer by percentage on the list. The firm climbed four places to occupy the sixth spot with a valuation of Rs 59,440 crore.

Other prominent local companies that featured in the state's top ten included Premier Energies at Rs 46,130 crore and MSN Laboratories at Rs 34,770 crore. Hetero Labs secured the ninth spot with Rs 33,850 crore, while Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences completed the top ten with a valuation of Rs 26,680 crore.
