30 Injured as Hyderabad-Kakinada Private Bus Hits Lorry in Eluru District

Around 30 passengers were injured on Wednesday morning when a private bus travelling from Hyderabad to Kakinada collided with a stationary lorry near the Greenfield Highway at Putlagutlagudem in the Jangareddygudem mandal of Eluru district.

The vehicle involved in the crash was an Intrcity Smartbus. Upon impact, the driver of the bus became trapped inside the vehicle's cabin.

Officers from the Lakkavaram police station promptly reached the accident spot and carried out a rescue operation to free the trapped driver from the cabin.

All the injured passengers were subsequently shifted to a nearby hospital for emergency medical treatment.

Police authorities have initiated an investigation into the crash to determine the exact cause of the incident.
