26-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed in Hit-and-Run on Kadthal Highway

A 26-year-old motorcyclist died after being struck and dragged by a car following a two-wheeler collision on the Hyderabad–Srisailam National Highway near Kadthal in Rangareddy district on Friday.

The victim has been identified as Shiva Yadav, 26, a native of Tandra village located in the Kalwakurthy mandal of Nagarkurnool district.

According to reports, the incident took place on the outskirts of Kadthal mandal when two motorcycles collided with each other while traveling along the highway. The force of the impact caused Shiva Yadav to be thrown off his motorcycle and onto the main carriageway.

Moments after the initial crash, an oncoming car approaching from behind reportedly ran over Yadav as he lay on the road. The vehicle dragged him for some distance before speeding away, resulting in severe injuries that caused him to die on the spot.

Upon being alerted to the incident, personnel from the Kadthal police station arrived at the scene to inspect the area and initiate legal procedures. The police have registered an investigation into the fatal crash.

Police officials stated that active efforts are currently underway to trace and apprehend both the car driver who fled after running over the victim and the second motorcyclist involved in the initial collision.
