26-Year-Old MBBS Student Dies by Suicide at RTC X Roads Hostel in Hyderabad

A 26-year-old MBBS student preparing for the NEET-PG entrance examination allegedly died by suicide at a private hostel near RTC X Roads in Hyderabad on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Yashashwini, a resident of Reddy Nagar in Kurnool district and the daughter of businessman Bandi Ram Mohan Reddy. She had been residing at the private hostel near RTC X Roads for the past six months to prepare for the upcoming NEET-PG test.
According to reports, Yashashwini spoke to her father over the phone at around 8:30 am on Saturday. However, when he attempted to reach her again after 9:30 am, the calls went unanswered and she remained unreachable.
Worried by the lack of response, her father contacted the hostel management and requested them to check on her. Hostel authorities went to her room, where they found her dead.
Yashashwini's father stated that she had been under stress for the past few days leading up to the examination. He noted that he had observed a distinct change in her behaviour after speaking with her on Friday, which prompted him to immediately travel to Hyderabad.
Police were alerted to the incident and have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death. Further details are awaited as the inquiry proceeds.
