26-Year-Old Man Electrocuted While Removing Flex Board in Balanagar

A 26-year-old man died of an electric shock while attempting to remove a fallen flex board at a shop in Balanagar on Monday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Sanju Chowdary. According to the Balanagar police, the incident took place at around 9.30 am at Gurukrupa Glass, Plywood and Hardware Shop.

Chowdary was working to clear the fallen flex board when he accidentally came into contact with an electric cable. The contact resulted in a severe electric shock, causing him to collapse immediately on the spot.

His uncle, Dayaram Chowdary, who was present nearby, immediately shifted him to BBR Hospital in Balanagar for emergency medical treatment. However, doctors at the facility examined him and declared him dead on arrival.

Following the incident, the victim's father approached the local police and lodged a formal complaint. The Balanagar police have registered a case based on the complaint and launched an investigation into the matter.
