26,500 Runners Take Part in 15th NMDC Hyderabad Marathon

Around 26,500 runners participated in the 15th edition of the NMDC Hyderabad Marathon, which was held across Hyderabad over Saturday and Sunday.
The multi-category sporting event featured a full marathon, half marathon, 10K, 5K, and inclusive run categories, drawing participants from across the city and outside.
On Sunday, 11,000 runners competed in the full marathon, half marathon, and elite categories, while nearly 9,000 participants ran the 10K event. On Saturday, another 6,500 runners took part in the 5K run and inclusive run categories.
Organised jointly by the Hyderabad Runners Society and IDFC FIRST Bank, the marathon introduced an inclusive run category for the first time this year. Approximately 300 differently abled athletes participated under this initiative.
The event also featured the participation of 184 tribal youth from Chhattisgarh, where title sponsor NMDC operates mining facilities. Organisers stated that the initiative was designed to identify and support running talent among youth from tribal communities.
