25-Year-Old Brain-Dead Man's Organs Benefit Four Patients in Hyderabad

The family of 25-year-old B Vishal, a resident of Bhapuji Nagar in Yapral, Alwal, Medchal Malkajigiri, has donated his vital organs following his declaration of brain death at a private hospital in Hyderabad. The donation has helped four patients suffering from organ failure.

Vishal, who was running his father’s business, met with a road traffic accident on August 23 near Neredmet. The mishap took place when he was attempting to assist another person on the road. During the incident, his motorcycle skidded and collided with a road divider, causing him to sustain critical injuries.

Immediately after the collision, family members shifted Vishal to a private hospital in Hyderabad to undergo emergency medical treatment. However, his health condition did not improve despite the efforts of the medical team, and the attending doctors officially declared him brain-dead on Monday.

Following the medical assessment, Vishal's father, Balu Bhai, took the decision to donate his son's organs under the state-run Jeevandan initiative. The family consented to the retrieval of his heart, liver, and two kidneys.

The harvested organs were allocated through the state network to benefit four separate patients in need of life-saving transplants. Jeevandan Telangana issued a statement extending its gratitude to Vishal's family, thanking them for their noble decision to donate his organs during their time of grief.
