24-Year-Old Woman Dies by Suicide at KPHB Hostel Over Job Search Struggles

A 24-year-old woman allegedly died by suicide at a private ladies' hostel on Road No. 1 in KPHB, Hyderabad, on Friday after becoming distressed over not finding a job.

The deceased was identified as Yamini, a native of Chilakaluripet located in the Palnadu district of Andhra Pradesh. She had recently relocated to Hyderabad in search of employment opportunities and had taken up accommodation at the KPHB hostel.

According to preliminary information and local accounts, Yamini had made repeated attempts to secure a suitable job in the city. However, after failing to find employment, she was reportedly under severe distress.

She took the extreme step on Friday by hanging herself from the ceiling fan inside her hostel room.

The KPHB police have registered the matter and initiated an investigation into the incident.
