23-Year-Old Woman Stabbed to Death in Balapur, Body Found in Gunny Bag

A 23-year-old woman was allegedly stabbed to death by her lover on Sunday night following an argument over marriage in an area under the limits of the Balapur Police Station in Hyderabad, police said on Monday. The accused reportedly tied the victim's limbs and stuffed her body into a gunny bag in an attempt to dispose of it.
According to police officials, the victim was a native of Bihar and worked as a waiter in function halls. The accused works as a labourer. The two had been in a relationship for the past year, and the woman had been living at the residence of the accused for the past two months.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a quarrel broke out between the couple on Sunday night after the accused refused to marry her. In the course of the dispute, the accused allegedly attacked the woman with a knife and stabbed her to death.
Following the murder, the accused tied both the hands and legs of the victim and packed her body into a gunny bag to dispose of it. Local residents alerted the authorities, prompting a police team to rush to the location. Officers discovered the body concealed inside the gunny bag and found blood stains scattered across the room.
Police officials stated that the deceased woman's family members in Bihar have been informed of the incident. When asked about reports suggesting that the woman was pregnant, an official stated that the detail would be determined only after the post-mortem examination is completed.
The accused fled the spot and remains absconding. Police have formed special teams to trace and apprehend him. Investigators are also examining the potential role of the accused man's mother in attempting to hide the body. A murder case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
