21-Year-Old Nurse Found Dead in Pahadishareef Hospital Quarters, Murder Suspected

A 21-year-old nurse was found dead under suspicious circumstances inside her room at a private hospital's residential quarters in Pahadishareef, with police suspecting murder after finding injuries on her face.
The victim, identified as Sirisha, was a native of Khammam district. She had been employed as a nurse at the private hospital for the past eight months and resided in accommodation provided by the facility.
According to Pahadishareef Inspector Lakshminarayana Reddy, Sirisha went to her room around 10 pm on Friday and did not come out through Saturday afternoon. Hospital staff grew concerned when she failed to respond to repeated calls. Staff members then broke open a window and discovered her dead inside the room.
Police officers rushed to the location upon being alerted and examined the crime scene. The presence of injuries on Sirisha's face led investigators to suspect that she had been attacked and killed.
Clues teams and a sniffer dog squad were deployed to the quarters to gather forensic evidence and materials. The body was subsequently transported to Osmania General Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
Following the incident, tension arose at Osmania General Hospital on Sunday afternoon when BJP workers staged a dharna outside the mortuary. The demonstrators demanded a thorough police investigation and strict action against those responsible for her death. In response to the protest, police stepped up security arrangements across the mortuary premises.
