19-Year-Old Woman Dies in Katedan After Food Quarrel With Husband

A 19-year-old woman died after her husband allegedly pushed her during a quarrel over food at their house in Sri Ram Nagar Colony in Katedan on Sunday night. The deceased was identified as Shikshanjali Kumari, who sustained a fatal head injury during the dispute.
According to the police, the incident unfolded after Shikshanjali served food to her husband, Chandan Kumar, on Sunday night. Chandan Kumar allegedly became angry after finding the taste of the curry unsatisfactory. During the ensuing argument, he suddenly pushed her, causing her to fall and hit her head directly against a wall, which resulted in the fatal injury.
Chandan Kumar reportedly rushed her to Osmania General Hospital immediately after the fall. However, doctors at Osmania General Hospital declared her dead on arrival.
On Monday, the victim’s mother approached the Mailardevpally police and lodged a formal complaint. Following the complaint, the Mailardevpally police registered a case and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.
Police statements revealed that Shikshanjali Kumari and Chandan Kumar were married on April 30 this year and had been residing together in Sri Ram Nagar Colony in Katedan. Both worked as daily wage labourers.
According to the police, the couple had reportedly been facing financial difficulties since their marriage. These financial pressures frequently led to quarrels between them prior to the fatal altercation on Sunday night.
