19.46 Lakh ASD Electors Found in Hyderabad as Electoral Roll Revision Ends

Officials from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) released a status report on the digitisation of enumeration forms on Monday, marking the final day of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. The report revealed that a total of 19,46,101 electors were found to be Absent, Shifted, or Dead (ASD) across all 15 Assembly constituencies in Hyderabad district, including the Charminar constituency.

The official status report outlined the overall progress recorded up to 6 p.m. on Monday on the concluding day of the SIR exercise. According to GHMC officials who released the report, Block Level Officers (BLOs) distributed a total of 47,36,669 enumeration forms to electors across all 15 Assembly constituencies in Hyderabad district during the drive.

Out of the total enumeration forms distributed to electors by the BLOs, 27,89,214 enumeration forms were successfully digitised up to 6 p.m. on Monday. This brought the overall status report digitisation figure to 58.89 per cent.

When analyzing individual constituencies across Hyderabad district, Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency stood at the top of the list with 1,79,794 electors classified as ASD electors. GHMC officials treated these cases as uncollectible enumeration forms in their final status report.

On the other end of the spectrum, Charminar constituency was set as the lowest Assembly constituency in Hyderabad district, registering 95,024 ASD electors in the status report.

In the Old City area, Yakutpura Assembly constituency emerged as the top constituency for ASD voters. A total of 1,55,252 electors in the Yakutpura constituency were identified as ASD voters in the status report.

The status report detailed several other Assembly constituencies in the Old City area that followed Yakutpura with high numbers of ASD voters. Chandrayangutta Assembly constituency recorded 1,49,365 electors, while Malakpet Assembly constituency registered 1,47,552 electors. Karwan Assembly constituency followed with 1,42,016 electors, Nampally constituency recorded 1,37,448 electors, and Bahadurpura Assembly constituency reported 1,21,111 electors identified as ASD voters.
