15 Evacuated, 6 Cars Gutted in Fire at Filmnagar Apartment Cellar

Fifteen residents were safely evacuated late on Saturday night after a major fire erupted in the cellar of a residential apartment building at HUDA Enclave in Journalist Colony, Filmnagar. Six cars parked inside the cellar were completely destroyed in the blaze.

Emergency response units were dispatched to the location immediately after the alert was raised. The response included a multipurpose water tender from the Punjagutta fire station, supported by water bowsers from the Annapurna and Jubilee Hills fire stations.

Firefighters entered the smoke-filled building to carry out search and rescue operations. Rescue teams swept the premises and successfully evacuated 15 residents who were stranded inside, preventing any loss of life.

The deployed personnel brought the fire under control and extinguished it completely. Hyderabad District Fire Officer (DFO) T. Venkanna confirmed that no casualties or injuries were reported from the scene.

Officials stated that the rapid response and coordinated operations of the firefighting teams helped avert a potential tragedy.
