14-Year-Old Boy Found Dead at Residence in Rajendranagar

A 14-year-old boy allegedly died by suicide by hanging at his residence near Bansilal Nagar under the Rajendranagar Police Station limits on Monday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Prashant, the son of an autorickshaw driver. According to police officials, the teenager was alone in the house at the time of the incident.

Investigators stated that Prashant's father had left home for work in the morning, while his mother had gone to drop his sister at a hostel. During the afternoon, Prashant answered a phone call from his father and confirmed that he had eaten his lunch. However, when his father attempted to contact him again around 7 p.m., the calls went unanswered.

Upon returning home at approximately 8:30 p.m., the father discovered Prashant hanging inside the house. He immediately brought the boy down, but found that he had already passed away. The father subsequently alerted the local police.

According to the police, the father stated that he did not suspect anyone in connection with his son's death. He mentioned that around two months ago, Prashant had informed his family that he did not wish to attend school. After being reprimanded by his family over the matter, the boy left home and had returned only two days prior to the incident.

The Rajendranagar police have registered a case regarding the incident and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.
