Ten South Central Railway employees from the Secunderabad, Hyderabad, and Nanded divisions were presented with safety awards during a review meeting held at Rail Nilayam in Secunderabad on Monday.
South Central Railway General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava presented the awards in the presence of principal heads of departments and divisional railway managers. The recognition was awarded to the staff members for their alertness and commitment to duty while executing railway operations.
The group of ten awardees comprised personnel from various operational roles across the three divisions. The recipients included two locomotive pilots, four track maintainers, one technician, two goods train managers, and one station master.
Congratulating the recipients, General Manager Srivastava said their example would inspire other railway staff to remain vigilant and ensure safe train operations across the network.
During the meeting, Srivastava emphasised the need for strict compliance with safety protocols across all railway departments. He directed that maintenance of cables, signalling checks, and inspections of rail fittings be carried out diligently.
Special focus was also placed on safety at level crossings, with Srivastava issuing instructions to conduct surprise inspections, dedicated safety drives, and night checks across the zone.
