10 Cows Die in Kummariguda Village After Allegedly Drinking Urea Contaminated Water

At least ten cows died under suspicious circumstances on Thursday night in Kummariguda village, located in the Kothur mandal of Ranga Reddy district. The Kothur police have launched an investigation into allegations that the cattle consumed water contaminated with urea, while search efforts are underway to trace the missing caretaker of the animals.

The incident came to light when the owner of the cattle discovered the dead animals in the cattle shed. According to the owner, the cows are suspected to have consumed drinking water that had been contaminated with urea, leading to their sudden deaths. The owner has alleged that the caretaker of the animals may have been responsible for mixing the chemical into the cattle's water supply.

As news of the sudden deaths of the ten cows spread through Kummariguda, a large group of local villagers gathered at the cattle shed. The sudden loss of the livestock sparked concern and suspicion of foul play among the local community.

Adding to the suspicions of the owner and the villagers, the caretaker of the cows reportedly went missing from the cattle shed shortly after the incident. The caretaker remains untraceable, and police are actively searching for his whereabouts.

Upon receiving information about the deaths, officers from the Kothur Police reached the village on Friday to begin their investigation. Police officials are currently on the ground collecting evidence from the cattle shed and examining the circumstances that led to the tragedy.

The authorities have stated that the exact cause of the cows' deaths will be officially confirmed only after veterinary and forensic examinations are completed on the remains. A formal police case is expected to be registered once the findings of these examinations are made available. The ongoing investigation aims to determine whether the chemical contamination of the water was accidental or deliberate.
